![]() Anger is one of those states of mind that has its place in life. Anger that is controlled properly can be extremely helpful in life. I am not talking about uncontrolled anger that hurts other people, I'm talking about focused anger that helps you. If you take your anger and channel it towards your workout I bet you will have a more intense workout. You will attack the exercises. You will show no mercy and take no prisoners. Your anger will have improved your workout. So channel that anger into your workout for renewed success. If you take your anger and focus it on your diet you will do nothing but improve what you eat. You won't tolerate slacking off. In the end you will be better for it. I find that anger helps me on a daily basis. I am aware of when I'm angry and I can control it. I find that if a particular episode of being angry is a bad thing, I simply replace the negative with a positive and everything is good. That's the point I'm trying to get across here. Use your anger and replace it with something positive like a better workout or a better diet. You won't be sorry you did. Nike+ Update: I went out to a track today and ran with the Nike+. Yet again, it was completely frustrating. However, I then attempted something. I took the sensor out of the tongue of the shoe and tied it underneath my laces (tightly so it wouldn't fall out). I then took off running on the track and guess what? It started to register my run at exactly the distance I was travelling. This gives me hope that when the holder I ordered arrives I will be able to utilize this thing properly. Stay tuned.

![]() Today was a pretty brutal workout. This one always leaves me feeling like I'm going to vomit. My muscles burn like crazy when I'm done. I am blown away by the intensity I can achieve. I wish I could share the log because as I read it right now it was nuts.

Hey Michael
Working out with a like-minded friend always ups the intensity for me. We challenge each other and push each other to new heights and weights.
I hate it when I feel like vomiting during a workout! On the other hand - you also know you've pushed your body to the max. Keep going.

Excellent Mike, the sensor needs to be flat so that may be way it was not working correctly. THe shoe wallet I have certainly works well and I was only 200 metres out with the Nike + calibration that I did yesterday. I have reset the calibration now and will use tomorrows outdoor 8km run to re-calibrate it and I think it will be spot on then.
Hope it all works once your purchase arrives.
Take care,
Andrew

Hi Michael,
Love your blogs of late. The one about FORGET was so good too. Are you reading my mind? Wanted to say that am glad you are doing so well with the NIKE+ and expect big things from you. This competiton thing really works for me. Today have done 7 miles walking, which sure takes longer than those giselles that run. But will get there too. Good luck!
