My Training Philosophy
You can never work hard enough because you can always go harder than you just did.
Today was back day using the same scheme I've been using all week. Supersetting isolation exercises (to pre-exhaust the muscles) with compound exercises. The rest in between is short to really push the body. My back was definitely sore after this workout. It was a pretty intense workout as usual. I'm liking the concept of pre-exhausting the muscles. My compound lifts have been a little lighter as a result, but much more intense. I feel a burn faster in the muscles doing it this way. I am a firm believer in supersets because they get the work done quickly.

Mike! Thanks again for this blog. I can tell that you take this very seriously and it's a GREAT resource for a beginner like me. A couple of months ago I ran into you on facebook and found this blog, now I've finally started to get serious about changing my lifestyle and came here first. Thank you for taking the time and doing the hard work of keeping this site up even while you're doing your own personal hard work! Regarding your question about tools for planning nutrition... I've found CalorieKing software (available on demo at calorieking.com) to be pretty useful for both tracking and planning ahead. Reply to this
