M4:D15 (D315) Problems

What's on my mind today?

[Post delayed due to technical difficulties.]

I have had problems with my account for my blog.  I have been locked out for several days and have my provider working on that issue.  They have changed the password and it still didn't allow me in.  If this doesn't change soon, I will be finding a new provider for my blog.

This issue got me thinking about problems in life.  Yesterday I wrote about upheaval and what happens when you are faced with changes.  Problems are no different.

Problem solving is a skill that many people have but few really utilize.  Your attitude when solving a problem is key.  How you approach the problem and the steps you take towards finding a solution will determine the successful overcoming of the problem you are faced with.

Sometimes you are hit with an unexpected turn of events.  You are not prepared to handle it.  You have to regroup and start thinking.  If you have problem solving skills you will simply get down to the business of following your problem solving methodology.  The path will be defined for you and you will simply walk down it, answering questions and making small decisions that will guide you towards the solution to your problem.

I feel it is important to be methodical when solving a problem.  You cannot properly solve a problem in a haphazard manner.  Problem solving requires a focus on the issue at hand.  You have to be willing to try different things in order to get the result you want, so open mindedness is also a key to success in this area.
