M4:D86 (D386) What the heck?

What's on my mind today?

"I don't lift weights to gain muscle, I lift weights because I read that you are supposed to."

What the heck?  This is exactly what a lady at my gym said to me today.  I was floored.  I asked her why she doesn't just do body weight exercises because she commented that weights were hard for her and that was her response.

People today are very misinformed.  This is why when we blog we have to be careful about what we say.  We do not want people to just blindly follow our lead.  They need to be given an understanding of why we do what we do.  I am a good example of that issue.  At one point I spent 21 days on mostly protein shakes.  Currently I am keeping my carbs extremely low during the week, but I'm upping them drastically on the weekend.  Everything I've done has had a scientific reason behind it.  However, had I simply reported out on what I did without explaining the reasoning behind it, someone could easily be mislead.  I am a huge believer in giving the reasons behind what I do.  I hope to be able to help other people who are like me.

Find out what I'm doing to my body!

The workout today was awesome.  I cannot stress enough how intense it is to be pushing 850 lbs. with my legs.  My progression continues to happen steadily.  I will be releasing spike charts from time to time to exemplify that progress.  I am becoming a bigger believer in that psychological aspect of lifting that I mentioned on Tuesday.
