M6:D17 (D495) Work harder, work stronger

What's on my mind today?

It is true. The harder you work the harder it gets.  The harder it gets the stronger you get.  This applies to most everything.  Every time you work hard at something you get better at it.  The better you get at something the harder it becomes to improve.  At the same time, the harder you work at something the stronger you get at it.  This is just an unwritten rule of life.

Take this concept and apply it to your training.  Don’t settle for “good enough.”  Push yourself to the bitter end.  Don’t leave the station until you’ve done every rep possible.  If someone asks you “How many reps should I do?” answer them by saying “All of them!”

Such a simple, yet overlooked concept—doing all the repetitions.  This means going to failure.  Going until you cannot go any more.  That’s how you know you did all the repetitions.  Give it a try the next time you are at the gym. Forget about the 8-12 rep range some “expert” suggested, just do all the repetitions you have in you and you can rest assured that you worked your hardest that day.
